Heather Judge accomplished what hasn't happened in the 23 years of Mini Match Game Tournament competition -- she is the 1st woman to win a Mini.
Heather has qualified multiple times over the seasons. But this seemed to be the year. Judge made it to the 3rd round of the stepladder in Mini #1 hosted by Mason Bowling Center.
Judge tried again, along with Tara Green and Tracy Wade, at Mini #2 - held at CharLanes. The women were greatly disappointed when none of them qualified.
Wade has made the qualifier list in the past. Some of us believed it might be Tracy to take the title against the men. She certainly has the accomplishments. A win for women seemed destined.
Then here comes da Judge -- Heather Judge actually and she grabbed the brass ring and seized the honor.
She beat Victor Latimore 222-216, Rory Kalanquin 234-202 and J.C. Petersen 255-232 before beating Chuck 224-217 in the finals.
Once, many years ago at CharLanes, a news reporter asked Heather how she could compete in the Mini's -- a scratch tournament traditionally bowled by men.
Heather answered, "I think like a man when I bowl." The precedent has been set. Women will now be able to "...think like" Heather.
Who knows - maybe the men.....no best I don't go there. Sorry guys.

LoL Had to get the ball rolling.
